Dubai Land Department and Emirates NBD Partner to Digitise the Rental Experience

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) and Emirates NBD have signed a landmark agreement aimed at transforming Dubai’s rental process through advanced digital integration.

Announced during GITEX Global, the partnership is set to revolutionise the leasing experience by streamlining how landlords and tenants manage everything from security deposits to rental payments.

A Step Towards a Fully Digital Rental Economy

The agreement was signed by Majid Al Marri, CEO of DLD’s Real Estate Registration Sector, and Ahmed Al Qassim, Group Head of Wholesale Banking at Emirates NBD.

Al Marri described the partnership as a “critical step in building an integrated digital rental economy”, while both parties emphasised their shared commitment to leveraging cutting-edge financial technologies to enhance Dubai’s real estate ecosystem.

The collaboration aims to increase transparency, simplify financial processes, and introduce new rental financing options, marking a significant advancement for the emirate’s property market.

Tackling Market Inefficiencies

Dubai’s rental sector has expanded rapidly, becoming increasingly complex for both landlords and tenants. Property owners often face operational inefficiencies, while tenants struggle with lengthy deposit procedures and manual payment systems.

Through this initiative, DLD and Emirates NBD will work together to eliminate these pain points and make renting in Dubai faster, safer, and more convenient.

How the Partnership Works

According to a statement from the DLD, the collaboration will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer journeys by introducing smart, digital solutions.

Both organisations will utilise the DLD’s web portal and mobile application to provide secure and flexible financial services for tenants — including digital payment options, streamlined deposits, and transparent transaction tracking.

This new digital infrastructure is designed to simplify the entire rental process, significantly reducing administrative time and improving user confidence.

Supporting Dubai’s Long-Term Vision

The initiative aligns with both the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, strengthening collaboration between government and the financial sector.

By integrating real estate services with next-generation banking technologies, the partnership sets a new benchmark for efficiency, transparency, and innovation in Dubai’s rental market.
